The Cosmonaut of the Year is a gala event where we will show the best films made during the last year by boys and girls from the region. The films may have been made at home, at schools or youth clubs or other organisations for teenagers.
The Cosmonaut of the Year is a mini-festival for filmmakers from Middle Norway who are younger than 19 years old. All kinds of films are welcome: fiction, documentary, animation and music videos. The only limitation is a maximum film duration of three minutes.
The best films will be screened in a one-evening event in the Liv Ullmann-theater on april 11.
An expert jury will review all submissions and assemble the programme for this evening. The best submissions will recieve awards. The jury for The Cosmonaut of the Year 2005 consists of:
Rune Langlo - Producer and director in the production company Motlys since 1998. He has produced and directed the documentary "Alt for Norge", which is currently playing in theaters around the country.
Yngvild Sve Flikke - Works as a producer for "Lydverket" on NRK1 (norwegian TV channel). Background from NRK Petre and U:Filter.
Brede Hovland - Educated in the U.S., he now works as a producer for the production company Youarehere. His earlier experiences include script development for Spyglass entertainment and Touchstone/ Walt Disney Pictures, as well as Harald Zwart's company Motion Blur.
